Shen Jai Confucius Institute (SJCI), established on July 13, 2022, is a collaborative initiative between Shen Jai Education Group of Malaysia, the Chinese International Education Foundation in China, and Xidian University in China. Located in Ipoh, Perak, it is the first Confucius Institute in northern Malaysia.

SJCI offers a wide range of activities including Chinese language teaching, certification for Chinese proficiency test (HSK, HSKK, BCT, YCT), cultural exchanges, Chinese language teacher training, and consultancy services in education and culture. Its language programs include courses in Chinese phonetics, general Chinese for children and adults, examination preparation, spoken Chinese, and customized Chinese courses. Additionally, it offers courses in Chinese cultural subjects such as calligraphy, fine brushwork painting, Chinese classical music, and Weiqi ect.

SJCI serves as an examination center for international Chinese language tests and a recommended institution for the “International Chinese Teacher Scholarship”. It also provides consultation services for studying abroad at Xidian University, China.
